Greek Phrases - The coffee shop

 

The Greek peolple love their coffee shops. This is the place they meet their friends and spend hours talking or playing tavli, the Greek backgammon. For the elderly people there is the traditional kafeneon. You will hardly see any women in these kafeneon. This is the place where the Greek men enjoy their coffee and ouzo with mezedes.

 

For the younger Greeks there are the modern coffee shops that provide wireless internet access and popular computer games.
