Who can legaly get a job in Greece:

European citizens can legally work in Greece without a visa or a workpermit. Non European citizens are unlikely to be able to work legally in Greece. Before leaving to come to Greece,make sure you are allowed to work in Greece. Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa, residence permit and/or work permit.

The past years many peolple have been working illegal in Greece. But with the new government there are new laws and much stricter regulations.

What to expect?

 

Because Greece is living mostly of its summer tourism the people work literally every day of the summer season, often for ten or twelve hours a day. Often employers will expect you to do the same.

Some summer jobs in Greece will provide a place to stay and some food. Daily wages range from 20 to 35 Euro a day.It is a good thing you discuss this with your employer before you start the job.
